What Is
Normal Health ?
Many people tell us that they always thought they enjoyed normal health,
it was not until they embarked on a supplement programme, that they realised
what was attainable. People reported that they felt more relaxed, slept
better, thought more calmly, had more physical/mental energy, basically
felt more willing and able to face the day, and importantly enjoy it.
Only upon looking back did they question if they had been running below
par.
Myths
Of Normal Supplementation
What is normal and correct for one person may simply not be enough for
his neighbour or work colleague, our suggestions are that everyone should
listen to their bodies. Under more stress or working in a polluted city,
it stands to reason that extra safeguards should be sought whether it
be through exercise, eating the right foods or extra dietary supplementation.
Many of our staff, work colleagues, and customers at the first onset of
a cold for instance, vastly increase the intake of Vit C, add Echinacea,
Propolis, Cats Claw, to their regime, we feel it is a question of reacting
to the circumstances and acting on personal choice.
Different
Bodies , Different Consumption Rates
Science has shown that different metabolisms can utilise different amounts
of nutrients in a given situation, so what suits one person will not suit
or be enough for another.
What Is
Meant By The Health Market ?
Many people associate the Health market as the standard Vitamins, A, B,
C, D, E , etc, many are astonished and often completely converted when
upon closer inspection they realise that there are literally hundreds
of NEW SUPER SUPPLEMENTS and supplement formulas available. There are
now, Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, Amino Acids, Glandulars, Pro Biotics,
Herbal formulations, Marine extracts. Some are thousands of years old
and have been widely advocated for health maintenance, however it is only
recently that the commercial technology has been put into place to enable
extraction for the market place. Each year, more and more advanced product
combinations enter the market, conversely more and more enlightened people
are seeking further informed knowledge.
Prevention
Is Better Than Cure
The old but true maxim. Many people now are choosing to listen to their
bodies and research the many and varied products that are open to them
to provide and maintain good health. Supplements are thought of by many
as cheap Health Insurance policies. Perhaps they may be viewed in the
same way as ensuring the adequate road worthiness of your car, by ensuring
the tyres and engine are kept well, after all it is far more costly and
inconvenient repairing the damage done by an accident or a breakdown.
Executive
Burnout, Can It Be Prevented?
We feel that many executives, or people in stress related positions really
ought to examine the world of diet supplementation, and indeed many employers
should examine the issue. Stress is one of the largest causes of employees
absence and is an escalating problem. For anybody to feel their best and
perform to the maximum at work or home, they should have an adequate supply
of all the base nutrients. Many people who have taken supplements such
as ENADH, Ginko Biloba, have reported that they seem able to cope with
work demands that much easier and in a more relaxed state of mind. We
have a great personal experience of Kava Kava being excellent for coping
with 'Computer rage'. We feel that the way to proceed is for each of our
customers to try a supplement and keep notes of how they feel and perform.
Certain products will have a far greater maintenance effect on some than
they do on others.
Free Radicals,
Anti-Oxidants, (What's all the fuss?)
What are they? what do they do? we all seem to have heard about them,
but not many of us know exactly what they are and indeed how harmful and
how good they can be. Hopefully we can explain for everybody as follows.
Free Radicals,
are basically molecules that can be termed incomplete, and are very volatile.
They are searching for other molecules in the body to make themselves
complete once again, however should they succeed, they succeed at the
expense of another healthy complete molecule and that molecule may become
damaged in the process. Some scientists believe that these free radicals
may contribute to
- damage
to blood vessels
- damage
our RNA and DNA
- aid in
the deterioration of the immune system
- contribute
to the decline in neurotransmitters
- contribute
to the biological ageing process
Many people
take the view that Stress creates Free Radicals, and are therefore very
conscious of the so termed anti-stress nutrients and supplements that
are now available. There are many nutrients that can aid in assisting
the balance for a healthy body, one of these groups can be termed anti-oxidants.
These anti-oxidants
serve their function by effectively sacrificing themselves for oxidation
upon encountering Free Radicals, thus preventing possible damage to body
tissues.
Life is all
about balance and so are our bodies, at certain times our bodies are exposed
to increased attacks from Free Radicals, such as Smoking, exposing ourselves
to polluted areas, STRESS, reliance on processed foods, it makes sense
therefore to safeguard our bodies by increasing intakes of these valuable
anti-oxidants. In some parts of the world, anti-oxidants are taken with
the view to maintaining youthful looks and vigour, in other parts they
are taken in almost the same way as life insurance.
Many anti-oxidants
are thought to work synergistically, taken together they may have an increased
and more potent effect.
